Tips on Using Colored Corrective Concealers:
Conceal before applying foundation (corrective concealers). For highlighting, use concealer after applying foundation.
Color concealers are typically made in 3 color choices– green, yellow and lavender. You need to understand which color concealer will neutralize the flaw. Look at the flaw you want to cover. What color is it? Is it reddish or yellowish? By identifying this first, you are now ready to conceal the imperfection! Here’s a list of color concealers and what they neutralize:
Yellow (ginger or vanilla)- Used to conceal bluish bruises, under-eye circles and mild red tones on the face
Lavender– Used to normalize yellow-colored imperfections such as sallow complexions and yellow bruises. It can also help conceal very dark under-eye circles and dark spots on bronze skin tones.
Mint Green: Used to neutralize red tones on the skin. Use this for covering blemishes, red blotches, rosacea, and port-wine stains

Neutralizing colors are colors that appear opposite on the color wheel. For example, blue neutralizes orange, green neutralizes red... To cover red blemishes and blotchy skin, you must neutralize the color first with a green concealer. By just adding a foundation colored concealer, you won’t conceal the problem because the red or blue tones will shine through. |

Basic Concealer Application Tips
Step 1—Dot a neutralizing concealer on carefully and blend with your fingertips, sponge or brush slightly past the edges of the problem. You can also mix the corrective concealer with MakeSense Blender or MakeSense foundation for better coverage.
Step 2—Gently pat a thin layer of foundation with a brush and feather out slightly beyond the edges of the correction. Let set.
Step 3—Follow with a foundation matched to your skin tone. Pat on foundation with a sponge or brush in a downward motion so you don’t make the hairs on your face stand up. Be careful not to rub in the concealer. Let set.
